Izmir fest to screen ‘Nightly Whispers’

The Izmir Int’l Short Film Festival in Turkey is to screen Iran’s ‘Nightly Whispers’.

The Izmir International Short Film Festival in Turkey has been scheduled to screen Iranian flick ‘Nightly Whispers’.

Written and directed by Omid Abdollahi, the 17-minute film will be screened at the short film panorama program of the 22nd edition of the Turkish event.

‘Nightly Whispers’ is about a single dad whose daughter is in a relationship with an unknown guy. The girl refuses to introduce the guy to his father but after all, they meet and at that point the father encounters something awkward.

Hadi Eftekharzadeh and Amirreza Ranjbaran are on the cast list of the short film.

Currently vying at the Sapporo International Short Film Festival and Market in Japan, the short flick went on screen at some global events.

The Izmir International Short Film Festival has been holding its place as being one of the greatest film events in Turkey.

The festival is one of the first events that present international awards to short films. It began to show its films in 2000 and since then it has been one of the most esteemed festivals for film enthusiasts.

The 2021 edition of the Izmir event is slated for November 22-28.
